University Communications Organizational Assessment Workgroup

Charge

Collaboratively led by external branding and marketing experts, this workgroup will conduct a comprehensive organizational assessment of marketing and communication resources across the university. This assessment will encompass audits of personnel and budgets, organizational structures across marketing and communications functions, a review of workflows and deliverables, utilization of performance measures, and an analysis of alignment with ECU’s strategic priorities.

Goals

  • Optimize marketing and communication resources across the university to align to allow for strengthened brand and marketing campaigns
  • Eliminate redundancies across the university related to marketing and communication efforts
  • Foster innovation and effective use of business intelligence and recognized best practices
  • Improve collaboration and coordination across the university marketing and communication work to support to the university’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities – within the context of recognized best practices and broad stakeholder engagement – to inform recommendations to align resources across the university focused on unified messaging, branding and marketing strategies.
